Back Up and Running
So after taking two weeks off, I decided to try to run today. I ran 3 miles and it felt great. I still don't want to push it, so I'll wait until Monday for my next run and up the distance a bit.
I've been running for about 8 years now. I've worked my way through 5Ks, 8Ks, 10Ks, a couple of 10-milers and I even did a 20-miler a few years ago, but knee problems, physical therapy and perhaps a lack of motivation has prevented me from getting to the next level. I'm now ready to improve my technique and time and take on 26.2 in 2008. "Can she do it?" you all ask...guess we'll see!
26.2 for the Kids at St. Jude!
Support my participation in the 33rd Annual Marine Corps Marathon (my first marathon) on October 26, 2008 by helping me raise money for the kids at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

My 13 Week Training Plan
This is my proposed training schedule. I'll update as necessary, but will hopefully stay on track. The numbers = mileage, days marked with "NR" means No Running, but I will still do weight training and another form of cardio (elliptical or kickboxing). Note Wednesdays and Sundays I also do yoga/pilates.
