The Vancouver Half Marathon was a great run -- perfect temperature, beautiful scenery and just the right amount of people -- if only we had more sleep. While normally I would be upset at 2 hour half marathon time, I was okay with it considering I had 3 hours of sleep and drank probably the equivalent to a bottle of wine the night before plus a few glasses of champagne.
As usual, the knee bothered me around mile 8. Without knowing it, I must have displayed my discomfort in both my words and actions as a fellow runner asked if I was okay and needed anything (gotta love how darn nice those Canadians are). But I felt good at the end. Don't know if I'd ever plan to run a race longer than a 10K the morning following a wedding though, but I'm glad I did this one.
BTW, I didn't get into the NYC Marathon, once again. Boo :(
