I Want the MOJO!

Let me start this post by saying that I am not an American Gladiator fan or viewer, however, a friend of mine brought to my attention a finalist in the show so I felt obligated to watch the finale. That's when I saw Mojo...a married mother of twins with an amazing body that yes, I want. So that started a new workout routine for me, put together by my husband.

I'm varying my running by doing more intervals and speed training along with the distance runs. I've also added new ab exercises and instead of always using free weights and machines, I'm using my own body weight to do various exercises. My husband swears that in six weeks, I'll have the Mojo. Guess we'll see.

I can tell you that I am sore in places that I was never sore before, so hopefully this new workout is doing something.

A Little Break

I took a few days off from running, but got a ton of cardio in on our trip to Steamboat, CO. We skied for three days and it was absolutely amazing!

I had every intention of running, packed the sneakers and everything, but after skiing all day long, my body was completely spent. I was able to get right back into my training though and have been running the last couple of days...although I wish I were still skiing in CO.

Oh well.

Mid 50s in February!

This past weekend was perfect running weather, so I did a nice 6 mile run on Sunday outside. It felt great. I wasn't too sore, but I ran a quick 3 miles yesterday and did some weight training and then ran 5 miles this morning (after feeling guilty for having pizza for dinner last night, although the carb overload seemed to get me through). I'm feeling good, but popping an Advil has become a morning ritual for me.
